I remember when I started my "loaf" supply business back in the days that required "scaling fence" to go and acquire freshly baked bread. Would then return and sell said loaf for a premium to provide a cool return to "risk" taken. One of those nights, I remember strolling back after a successful transaction and suddenly feeling what turned out to be the cold nuzzle of an M16 in my ear. I had been accosted by military police threatening fire if I moved a muscle. I begged to reveal the contents of my bag and when he caught the waft of hot loaf, he got the message. Needless to say, after parting with some loaves of hot bread, I got an escort back to the school fence and got let off with a small warning. I still dream about that hot loaf every now and then. There has been nothing quite like it. |

After KC, I went on to UNIBEN to study accounting and thereafter joined KPMG as an auditor. After boring myself for a few years, I left for the UK to pursue an MBA at the Cass Business School, City University London. A very short stint at Cable and Wireless and I was off to the US to pursue a Master of Information Systems Management at Carnegie Mellon University. Again, worked in the Telecom industry as product manager for an outsourced billing system for one of the major wireless carriers in the US. I have since joined Deloitte Consulting as a management consultant specializing in customer and market strategy with a focus on business-IT alignment within that (CMS) competency. I also still focus primarily on the Telecommunications, Media and Technology industry space. 2010 and I am homeward bound - its about time. All ideas and counsel welcome. |
